How do I get a copy of my amended 2024 tax return?
1. I recently amended my 2024 tax return using Turbo Tax online, but I failed to download a copy before submitting thinking I would be able to get a copy immediately afterwards. When I go into My Documents folder, it shows the 2024 amended return in a Pending status, but the actual amended return does not exist in the folder. How do I get access to these amended returns?
2. The amended return was only needed for the state return, but I didn't see an option to amend only the state return, so i amended both though the federal return had no change. Will I now have to wait the extended amend timeline (federal = ~16 weeks) for its approval before the state return will be processed (~12 weeks) or are they both being reviewed in parallel? I tried to check on the federal return's status but the IRS site says it wont be available for statusing for ~3 weeks after submission.
