How do I change/refile for 2019 when it says I already filed?

I tried to download my 2018 tax returns, It said I had to "register" so I followed these instructions: https://tinyurl.com/um6bdws. Now it says my 2019 taxes are filed, so I'd like to know how to 'refile' or change my 2019 taxes. I've tried downloading the "turbotax cd/download" to amend it, only to find the download link to the free version doesn't work.

I would suggest checking your e-file status to confirm if your 2019 tax return was indeed filed.  How do I check my e-file status? - Community

If your return was filed, you will need to amend your return to fix/change anything.  Keep in mind that the 1040X form to amend a tax return will be available in TurboTax on 02/12/2020.  How to amend (change or correct) a return you already filed

If your e-file status shows you have not yet filed, you can use the Clear and Start Over feature to restart your tax return preparation.

@lydkyd46

  You have to access your own account and/or  print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !

EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records.  That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.
