Hi, Where on my self prepared tax form from you guys do I sign before mailing on my 2021 tax return

Look near the bottom on page 2 of the Form 1040---do you see the words "Sign here?"   Sign and date it in ink.  If it is a joint return, both spouses need to sign.

 

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

 

 

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

For the federal 1040 you sign at the bottom of page 2 where it says...Sign Here with a big black arrow.
