Hi, I thought I paid through direct deposit for my federal return yesterday but it hasn't come out of my bank. Do I need to send a check or is it pending in my bank?

Thanks but I am referring to a payment owed to the IRS not a refund. How do I know that it will be coming out of my account or if I need to send a check today
