HI, I need to amend my 2015 tax. Do file 2016 first or amend first?

You don't HAVE to amend 2015 first, but it makes the most sense to do so, especially depending on why you are amending.  This is because you could have carryover amounts, like capital losses from investments, that you want to use for 2016.  Also, if you want to transfer information from year to year, then you want 2015 to be as accurate as possible.  But, if you don't think you have anything like this that would matter on your 2015 return to your 2016, then you can do 2016 first if you want to get your refund quicker.
