Does the IRS reroute refund through Turbo Tax before I receive them?

I received a letter from the IRS that they needed verification of my identity, there's two steps for that which I've completed,

How you receive your Federal refund depends on what you initially chose. If you chose to pay any TurboTax products fees out of your refund, or if you chose the "up to 5 days early" offer, your refund will go first to an intermediary bank once the IRS releases the funds. If you did not use any option that requires a third-party bank, then the IRS would send it directly to your bank (or card.)

If you have successfully completed identity verification, the IRS says to wait 2-3 weeks to check the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool at

but it can take the IRS up to 4-9 weeks for the IRS to finish processing the return after the identity verification process.
