Do I need to send a paper copy of my accepted e-filed amended 1040x return?

I e filed an amended 1040x return. It was accepted. I also electronically paid the tax due. Do I need to send a paper copy as well?

No you do not have to send a paper copy if you e-filed and the e-file was accepted. It takes the IRS six months or more to process an amended return, so do not expect quick results.

If the e-filed Form 1040-X was e-filed and accepted by the IRS there is no need to mail a paper copy of the 1040-X.
