Do I need to amend my taxes if I received a 1099-MISC with income I've already reported and paid taxes on?

I received a 1099-MISC after finishing and filing my taxes. I track my self-employment income myself and pay estimated taxes, including the income from this project. Will I need to amend my taxes to report the form?

If you're saying that you've already reported the income that's reflected on the Form 1099-MISC that you've received, then, no, you don't need to file an amended return.

If this income wasn't reported on the original return you filed, then, yes, you'd need to amend your return to include it.

If you do need to amend, please see the TurboTax FAQ "How to amend (change or correct) a return you already filed," below, for instruction on how to amend your previously-filed tax return.
