Can my refund for Oklahoma be more than I paid in taxes?

I earned income from royalties in Oklahoma, it is NOT my state of residence.  In filing a second state, TT seems to have calculated that I should receive more money in my tax return than I paid in taxes to Oklahoma.  Is this legit?

Go to Forms in the upper right corner of your TurboTax.

Then go to the left side and you will see all the Forms and Worksheets.

Towards the bottom left will be the OK forms.

Open the OK return It should be a OK 511 NR, go to line 27 and right click this amount and go to the source of the taxes withheld for OK.

When you entered the 1099Misc and the OK taxes paid, did you enter them again in the OK interview?

I don't believe I did, but I will double check.  The difference is small, but still more than they withheld.  Thanks for the suggestion.

TT automatically put my OK income in the right place (I think) but when TT automatically filled out my second state (OK) it lumped together all my rental and royalty income.  My rental income was not earned in Oklahoma.  Should it be indicated there?  Somehow TT shows that OK withheld more $ than they actually did, and I am clueless where that number comes from....  My 1099Misc forms clearly are in the royalty spot...  but TT still thinks I get more money back than I paid in for withholding from Oklahoma.  😞

Thank you.  This was helpful.  I see when I got to the source that TT has the correct amount for Oklahoma, but it also has a amount from "other state withholding".... and I don't have any idea where that came from.  If I override that to zero I believe it would make my amount of refund correct to what I actually paid in.
