In that link just use steps 2 & 3.  I made you 2 screen shots.   You can get your AGI from either the Tax Summary or view the actual 1040.

Both the Tax Summary and the 1040 Preview are available to view before you pay for your return.  Please follow these steps:

  1. While in your return, click Tax Tools > Tools (in the black bar on the left of your screen).
  2. In the Tools Center window, click View Tax Summary.
  3. In the black bar you can select Preview my 1040, as well as your state Tax Summary.

Keep in mind that you will not see all the forms in your return, just the Form 1040 or Form 1040-SR Worksheet. Your AGI will show on line 11.

I guess the key part of my question is:   Can I view my AGI before I PAY for turbotax.    I have not found a way to see that info.    I am about done with my return but I would like to see if I can make a full or partial contribution to my Roth IRA.    I guess I could just plug in some numbers and see if TurboTax flags me that I have over contributed.... OR, If I could just see my AGI then I could figure out  how much I can contribute to the penny.

Yes.  You can preview the 1040 tax return without paying.  Where are you stuck in the link I posted?
