Can I get my state filed with turbo tax when my federal is already filed?

can I go back into Turbotax and file my state taxes if they were not filed with my federal taxes?

    It depends.  You may do this if you originally filed your state return with TurboTax.  This FAQ addresses this (you'll be using option 1):  https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3374295

    However, if your Federal return was prepared outside TurboTax, you cannot just prepare a state return.  There are options, however, as this FAQ shows:  https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/4232481
