Can I deduct my state taxes due out of my federal income tax refund?
when I e-file, can I deduct $1,066 which is the amount I owe to the state of WV , from my federal refund which is $2,473?
DoninGA is right on target. The IRS will not permit state taxes to be taken from the refund.
