Have my taxes been filed ? I'm confused.

Did you e-file? If you e-filed you can check to make sure your return was accepted. The check will show if your return was accepted, rejected, or no return filed.

How do I check my e-file status?

If you've got an Alexa device, you can enable it to check for you.

If you used TurboTax CD/Download you can check your e-file status by opening the File menu and selecting Check E-filing status or by opening your return, selecting the File tab, and selecting the Check E-file Status header.

Keep in mind:

E-filing status is what stage of the process your return is in.
Refund status is when you can expect your refund. If that’s what you’re interested in, go to Where's My Refund?

Did you go all the way through the File tab, through the 3 steps and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button?

When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?

I don't know how to do this. it wont let me change my email

Here are the steps to change your email address:

Sign into your TurboTax account
Click on INTUIT ACCOUNT on the bottom, left side of the screen.
Under the section SIGN IN & SECURITY, find your email address and click the EDIT button next to it.
Make the necessary changes and click SAVE

No one can look that up for you. You need to check your status yourself. Do you think it was efiled? When?

If it says Printed or Ready to Mail that means you have to print it out and mail it yourself. You can try to change it from Mail to Efile

Click on Add a State to let you back into your return.
