Question

Archival copy of my '16 1040 differs from the return I e-filed. Validated via SSI report of earnings in '16. How can I get the correct copy of my efiled 2016 return?

If you used the ONLINE version and changed anything AFTER you filed then you permenantly overwrote the tax file in Turbo Tax.

If you want a copy of the actually filed return you will need to get that from the IRS...

You can get a return transcript from the IRS for free :  http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

For a $50 fee you can get a copy of the return from the IRS:  https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901218-can-i-get-a-copy-of-my-tax-return-from-the-irs
