Currently Amending 2021 return for missed 1099-R but final system review keeps asking for a payment date in 2022

Since you cannot efile the return the date you are filing the return should not be needed ... you must paper file and send the payment with it.   If the program absolutely needs a date then for a 2021 return simply enter the filing deadline of 4/17/22.

I am having literally the exact same issue.  Trying to e-file my Federal amended 2021 form, but when I go to file it is asking me to "Correct Your Payment Date" for last year's taxes due.  "Correct the payment date you want the funds withdrawn from your bank account so the IRS can process your direct debit withdrawl request.  The payment date must be a regular banking day in 2022.  Us a date before 4/18/2022 to be considered timely paid."

Then it lists last year's money owed.  Even if i put a date in 2022, it does not "fix the problem" turbo tax has "found".  It's like it's trying to file the original 2021 taxes....

@lzcheetah Amended returns cannot be debited nor deposited. If you are due a refund, the IRS mails a check. If you owe money, you send a check or make a payment here. Please delete all bank information from your amended return.
