Question

After i file my taxes can unemployment take money out after its filed or do they take the money before they are filed

If you got unemployment benefits in 2016, you should receive paperwork from your State office.

Most States give consumers the option of taking out tax or not. If you didn't, it means it will come out of your refund or be added if you owe a debt to the government when you file your return.

If you already filed your return, wait until you receive your refund. You'll need to amend your return.
