part year residency period

I lived/and worked in Nassau County, NY for 2 months in 2017.  I then moved and work in NYC for the remainder of 2017 (10 months).  What is my NYC residency status?  I'm thinking Part-Year resident.  And then what are the dates I put into Part Year residency period in Turbo Tax question

Yes, since you moved to NYC you'll file as a part-year resident. The dates of your NYC residency are for the 2017 tax year, so you'll indicate you were a New York City resident from the day started living in NYC through 12/31/2017.
