forms 1040 ez

I am filing Federal tax return, It says I need to sign mail Federal tax forms, but the only form that prints is the instructions, I can't seem to find the forms I am supposed to mail? Is it due to the fact that i didn't work last year and doesn't owe any money to the IRS?

If it is a true zero tax return, i.e. zero income, zero tax due, etc, then you won’t be able to get the system to print it (you also won’t be able to e-file such a return).  You could use the desktop version of the program in this case to print the form or simply fill out a Form 1040-EZ manually with the zero return.

The other option - and one a lot of people in this situation choose to do - is to simply add $1 of interest income under a blank Form 1099-INT in the program.  It doesn’t affect the zero tax return because of your standard deduction and a lot of people have probably earned $0.50 cents in interest across different accounts they may have during the year.
