My husband and I bought a real property in 2004 and sold it in 02/27/10. Then we bought another real prop on 02/18/10 and sold it on 06/27/17.
Just now, we came aware that in 2010 we clamed the 1st time home buyer credit using form 5405. I really don't know how that happened. How do we fix or report this problem? When do we have to repay the credit? How should we repay the credit?
Also, how should we answer the adjusted Cost Basis EasyGuide Question, since we don't know if we have/had to repay the credit?
