2017 TurboTax Isn't Working

2017 turbo tax isn't working correctly. The more business expenses I include the more I owe in federal tax. And, this has NOTHING to do with earned income tax credit as I don't qualify for this. How can this be explained Turbo Tax. Frustrating to say the least. Does any one have a solution for this issue? TurboTax people please weigh in as this is your software.
