RENTAL PROPERTY TAXES

Turbo Tax is asking for the real estate taxes paid on my rental unit. In Chicago we pay for 2016 property taxes in 2017, so if I only rented the unit for one month (December 2017) how do I answer this question? Do I put one months worth of property taxes paid during the one month rental or leave this blank since I have yet to pay 2017 property taxes? I lived in my condo for11 months, then I rented it out during the last month of the year (2017).

RENTAL PROPERTY TAXES

Leave it blank, as you did not actually pay the tax in 2017.
