To edit this information, go to the sales tax interview and select "Enter All My Receipts".
- Continue your return in TurboTax Online. (If your return isn't open, you'll need to sign in and click Take me to my return. Make sure you are in the Federal and not the state section.)
- Click the drop-down arrow next to Tax Tools (lower left side of your screen).
- Select Tools.
- In the pop-up window, select Topic Search.
- In the I'm looking for: box, type sales tax.
- In the results box, highlight sales tax, then click GO.
- Continue through the sales tax interview. When asked how you want to enter your sales tax info, select Enter All My Receipts then enter the grand total.
Note: If using the TurboTax CD/Download software, you'll use the Find function and the "Jump to" link (instead of "Tax Tools") to search for the topic.
