tax return

I retired from work April 18 2018.  I received one paycheck for 2018.  I will be receiving a W-2 for 2018 in January, 2019. I will be using Turbo Tax online free edition for 2018. will I be receiving a refund for 2018?

The answer to your question depends on several other factors.  Your W-2 income will be combined with your deductions and your other income, if any, to determine your taxable income and your resulting income tax.  Whether you pay more or receive a refund will depend upon the difference between your tax and the money that has been withheld with the W-2.  If you have no other income, and if the initial W-2 had normal withholdings, then there is a good chance that you will see a refund.  But without the other numbers, I cannot guarantee that.
