Which product for 2018 taxes

I usually used the Deluxe version in the past because I itemized deductions but my itemized deductions are now less than the $24,000 married filing joint standard deduction. Is there any point to pay for Deluxe if taking the standard deduction or should I just use free?

Which product for 2018 taxes

You may be able to use the Free version of TurboTax this year if you won't be itemizing and you have no other issues that would require an upgrade. You can always start with Free, and if you make an entry that requires Deluxe, you'll be prompted to upgrade.

Note that there are certain state tax returns that allow itemizing, and TurboTax transfers the Federal itemized deductions to the state return. In cases like this, you would need TurboTax Deluxe to complete your state return. I would recommend preparing your Federal return without the itemized deductions, then going through your state return to see if you actually need to upgrade.
