Living in Massachusetts and contributing to 529 plan in Utah

We live in Massachusetts and have 529 plans from Utah for both of our kids. Can we deduct these contributions from our MA state taxes?

Unfortunately, no. According to the Instructions for Form 1 2017 Massachusetts Resident Income Tax, the deduction is for contributions to college savings plans established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
